Ondo State Security Network, codenamed Amotekun Corps, has deployed over 500 newly recruited operatives to the state’s 18 local government areas.
Commander of Ondo Amotekun Chief Adetunji Adeleye stated this during a show of force parade by Amotekun operatives in Akure metropolis.
Adeleye explained that that deployment of the new operatives marked the beginning of the second phase of “Operation Clean Up” across the state.
He stated that the “Operation Clean Up” is targeted at sweeping out hoodlums.
The commander said the reason for the display of the show of force was to warn criminals and kidnappers that the state was not safe for them.
Adeleye said the first phase of the operation was a huge success as many suspects were busted in their hideouts.
