Few minutes later Abia Warriors’ goalkeeper Vicent Edafe made two key saves to deny birthday boy, Ifegwu Ojukwu.

With three minutes left in the first half, Abia Warrios restored parity when Paul Samson who bundled home at the near post from a deflected ball.
Abia Warriors’ equaliser however lasted for two minutes as Sadeeq Yusuf restored his side’s lead with his second of the game.
In the 65th minute, substitute Kazeem Obanigba almost extend the lead but his deflected effort missed the target by a whisker.
Abia Warriors piled late pressure Sunshine Stars, but the coach Deji Ayeni boys did enough to see saw off the contest.
Sunshine Stars, have now won at home for the second successive game after ending their poor run of results.
