The popular Sabo Road in Ondo town, Ondo West Local Government Area was today renamed Adaja SOKA Road. This was done today as part of the commemoration of the 10th year anniversary of the demise of the Late Ondo businessman and Philanthropist, High Chief Stephen Oseyemi Kolawole Adeyeye (SOKA) JP, the Adaja of Ondo land who died on May 26, 2011.
The new name was commissioned by the Chairman, Ondo West Local government Area , Hon. Ebenezer Ayodeji Akinsulire.
Our correspondent who was at the scene noted that residents of the area were happy about this development and consider the renaming a befitting one for the late high Chief.
Present at the occasion were the Matriarch of the family , Chief ( Mrs.) Grace Wemimo Adeyeye JP and the children of the Adaja amongst whom are Mrs. Abiola Adedinsewo, Hon Dr. Jibayo Adeyeye, Mr. Kunle Adeyeye and Otunba Bola Adeyeye amongst others.
The weeklong celebration, which started on Monday May 24, 2021, will culminate in a church service and a party at the Ondo Civic centre on Saturday May 29, 2021.
