The incident which occurred at about 8am was said to have caused anxiety in the community as parents of the pupils rushed to the scene.

A source said injured pupils were rushed to the General Hospital in Iwaro Oka, after receiving first aid treatment at the scene of the incident.

The source said, “When the news was broken in the community, all the parents rushed to the school to see whether their wards were involved.

“All the students in the bus were seriously injured but we learnt that one of the pupils later died today (Wednesday).
