Moji Taiwo, a Calgary based Nigerian and author of ” I Give because I’m Blessed -I’m Blessed because I Give”- an autobiography of her life in Canada has released another book. This time around, Moji a grandmother veered towards the family. The book, Grandma and Her Munchkins- is a children’s picture book. Launched in October 2022, it is an everyday adventure series published in English and French.
Moji is a mother of three adult children and grandmother of three boys who are the main characters of the book.
At the launching of the book, Moji pointed out that this is the first in the series indicating that more are on the way.
Since immigrating to Canada as a young lady in 1978, Mrs. Taiwo continues to blaze the trail, inspiring other immigrants within and outside the Nigerian community in Canada.
Her previous career was in the Youth Justice system with the Government of Alberta where she spent over three decades positively impacting lives of adolescents and their families , teaching, training , coaching and mentoring young staff.

- Recipient of Leadership Award – Women of Vision – 2013-2021

- Recipient 2018 Nigerian Canadian Association of Calgary Volunteer Award
- In 2015, recipient of “Corrections Exemplary Service Bar Award”
- In 2009, recipient of the “Solicitor General and Public Security Leadership Award”
- In 2008, recipient of the “Corrections Exemplary Service Medal Award.
She is passionate and committed to the development and success of young people and happiness of their parents. Moji also have extensive experience in facilitation and public speaking. Currently she is the host of the Immigrant Experience Show #Tieshow on Diversity Magazine Youtube channel.
Moji is an avid volunteer, when she is not writing or volunteering she can be found in her garden during the spring/summer growing season in Calgary, her home city or enjoying the crisp, wintery outdoors in the winter months.
