The youths of Ondo state under the Nigeria Youth Congress has through it leadership issues a statement on today’s Democracy day celebrations.

NIGERIAN YOUTHS CONGRESS ONDO STATE.
JUNE 12, A NATIONAL DAY TO CRY AND RETRACE ALL STEPS AS A LOVELY NATION, DEMOCRACY DAY.
Solidarity greetings to all Sons and Daughters of the soil of our great country Nigeria from the Mecca and Jerusalem of a bleeding heart.
Today, we rise to honor and remember our heroes past and a day to let democracy speak.
In a long years, the country was in the hands of the military as a dictators until 1999.
Yes, we are all happy democracy came but we never knew it was going to become a crazy demo, which had today brought a memorable knowledge of every tribes sources and ethnics believes to rise against each other, with an idea to pull out of the country Nigeria, the Marriage of all that forms up Nigeria has given no good birth due to greeds of Political office holders, civil servants, private sectors and individuals.
The Problem as at today is as a result of everyone that is called Nigerians, Yes Nigerians are the problems of our selves.
Making use of a constitution that was made in the absent of those who was to be effective for, seeking no public opinion before acceptability and up till now it has encaged the National progress not to grow.
A giant of Africa that have turned to be toddler of Africa, a country with milk and honey.
Things had gone bad but it is time to make Nigeria work again, let’s all rise to the course and lift it.
At this Point in time, Mr President should take this advise, this is not a military regim, you campaigned and voting process took place to have made you emerged, and these makes it to be called Democracy. Kindly Seat back, call all parties from the Biafra agitators, Yoruba Nation Agitators and every other parties that may be concerned, give them a reason not to fight anymore, ask them things they want that could make all these rancor’s stop, be a Democrat towards this and there will be a way forward.
Meanwhile, everyone in the circle of the government given bad advises due to their greeds should desist for the progress, peace and unity of the country.
All civil Servants that are more deadly to the country’s economy but keeps shouting the politicians, change your ways.
All private sectors should contribute to the soceity, pay your tax, do not bribe anyone for you to dodge the payments.
Doctors who had always diverted all patients from the government hospital to their own personal hospitals should change their ways, you act dull and dumb on duty at government hospitals where you are being paid salaries, people died, you create a wrong image in the sights of the people that Government hospitals are bad, and these is as a result of your actions. This reduces the revenue that aught to be generated into the government purse.
You go on strike even when you were never on strike at your private hospitals where you have always diverted government expected revenues to, through patients.
Yes, it is your right as an employee to receive your salary, no doubt in that but be diligent and hard working, give the government hospitals a good image, let the people orientations change from the fact of testifying that anyone who visits the government hospitals will not be attended to by the nurses and doctors.
On the side of the government, kindly equip the country hospitals to be very standard and shorn traveling abroad for healthcare.
Lecturers and teachers who are found of demanding Sex or money from students, while some even fails students because of a man or a girl, all these most stop as it is affecting the country not to grow.
Our youths should change their orientations, either educated or not, something makes everyone unique from each other, that could make one another stand out irrespective of the circumstances. This is not the time to have a cult clash over a man or over a girl, wise up, engage in politics.
Go to your wards, join politics, flex muscles with the aged ones that you can do better than them.
Let today mark another beginning from an ending, where the Federal government can see more reasons to accept any means to generate revenue for the country.
The Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN had discovered the best land for canabis in the world, if a country like Lebanon can rely on canabis as a source of revenue to generates over 40 billion US dollars annually, then it is certain Ondo State can generate over 100 billion US dollars annually if taken serious by the Federal government. All measure and constraints could be applied and this will boost the economy, it will create thousands of jobs opportunities and this will help to reduce the rate of unemployment and crimes in the country. Our country can wear a new image of goodness and hall mark of excellence in the sight of the western world.
There should be 55% youths inclusions in governance, as the youths makes up over 68% of the population.
Insecurity should be dealt with, this had sent away so many investors and had crashed up the economy, Nigeria must rise again to be the giant of Africa it is known for.
Above all, let every youths prepare to get their PVC, that is your unique strength and power to decide the faith of this nation.
Let’s join hands together to make Nigeria work again.
