The Independent National Electoral Commission has commenced the distribution of Sensitive materials for the Saturday’s Governorship Election in Ondo State.
The Exercise which is ongoing at the Premises of the Central Bank in Akure, Ondo State Capital has in attendance representatives of Security Agencies, Party Agents, Local Observers among others.
Inec officials are being supported by some staff of the Bank in moving the materials out of the stored it had been stored since Monday for onward movement into the waiting vehicle.
GALAXY TV reports that the Resident Electoral Commissioner in the State, Oluwatoyin Babalola, with the support of other top officials had earlier addressed party agents and Observers on the significance of the exercise towards a credible, fair and free election in the state.
Already, security has been beefed up within and outside the premises of the Bank while provision has equally been made for the safe custody of the materials.
With this development, the stage seems set for the conduct of the Governorship Election in Ondo State on Saturday.
