The Executive Council has approved a new curriculum which will incorporate the nation’s value system. The curriculum which will be adopted in October 2024 will be adopted in all primary and secondary schools across the country.
Ministers of education and information and national orientation who made the disclosure as part of the agenda approved by the federal executive council on Monday expressed the council’s displeasure over the growing depletion in the attitudinal and behavioral postures of the young ones in the country.
They the president directed the ministry of education to reinvigorate the educational curriculum towards incorporating knowledge, skills and values. The national orientation agency was also mandated to put machinery in motion towards the standardization of the national symbols such as the national flag, the coat of arms, and the naira amongst others.
