Newspaper doubles down on claims Reno Omokri fathered child out of wedlock

An online newspaper The Will has doubled down on its claim that former presidential aide Reno Omokri fathered his last child Ebele out of wedlock.

The online newspaper had reported that Ebele was born by a UK-based lady and not Omokri’s “rightful wife whom he married in Nigeria in both traditional and Church marriage.”

But the former presidential aide described the claims as “propaganda”.

The newspaper said that “Reno, who recently initiated #harassbuharioutoflondon, was only able to do so conveniently because he absconded to London where his new partner lives, contrary to his narration of flying out to London from California for the cause.”

The media platform alleged that Reno has refused to contribute to the upkeep of his family.

The report accused Omokri of being a “control freak, who subjected his estranged wife to emotional abuse for the better part of the 14 years they lived together.”

Omokri denied all the allegations and threatened to sue to media platform.

But Tuokpe Omokri, wife of former presidential aide, told The Will that she is not the mother of Ebele

Tuokpe made the disclosure in an interview with The Will on Tuesday.

When asked if they just have a fourth child together, Tuokpe said “No”.

But she reiterated that she and Reno are still legally married.

“I am a very private person, I shy away from the media and social media. I am not going to say much now.”

A check on Mrs. Tuokpe Omokri’s Instagram page showed that she has deleted the name Omokri and replaced it with another name – Onuwaje.

Tuokpe has also deleted all Omokri’s pictures from her page.

Omokri in February announced the birth of his fourth child – Ebele, named after former Nigeria president Goodluck Jonathan.

Reacting to the news, Jonathan appreciated God for safe delivery while also commending Omokri for naming his fourth child after him.

“Congratulations to @renoomokri and his wife, on the birth of their daughter very early this morning,” he wrote on Twitter.

“I am grateful that the couple has chosen to name their daughter Ebele, after me. I thank God for the safe delivery and that mother and child are healthy and thriving.”
