The mother of famous singer Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, aka Ayra Starr, has discussed some of the risks associated with abortion, advising women to think carefully before deciding whether to keep an unwanted pregnancy or not.
In a recent video seen online on Saturday, February 08,, she stressed that women should prioritise avoiding unwanted pregnancies other than trying to abort it.
she highlighted the importance of family planning or total abstainance as a way of avoiding unwanted pregnancy, stressing that it is not easy to parent a child.
She said: “Somebody said I should talk about abortion. It’s a two way thing. You can actually avoid being pregnant before thinking of the abortion. And abortion there can be complications. And if you keep the child you’ll miss a lot of seasons. Immediately you choose to keep the child your head will start working like an old phone that skips, because this is a life that you brought to this world. Do you want to live like that for like 20-25 years of your life?
“So you have to think about it even before the pregnancy, you can prevent it by doing family planning. Because bringing a child to this world is not beans. Do you want to sleep with different men because you want to raise a child? Is it easy? So we should not even talk about it.
“You can actually avoid all those things by not getting pregnant at all. Go do family planning. Must you even have s3x? Can’t you keep yourself? Purity speaks a lot, I can testify to it.”
