Adebo Ogundoyin, a 36-year-old lawmaker representing Ibarapa East State Constituency, has been re-elected as Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly on Wednesday.
DAILY POST reports that there are 28 members elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and four were elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Ogundoyin, an indigene of Eruwa, is a PDP member.
He was first elected as Speaker of the House in June 2019. His re-election took place during the inauguration of the 10th State House of Assembly.
He was nominated by one of the lawmakers-elect, Bamidele Adeola (Iseyin/Itesowaju) and seconded by Babajide Gabriel Adebayo.
The state governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, and other top government functionaries were at the inauguration.
